Dave A. Spoke regarding GYC Insurance renewal, after talking with our insurers and looking over our policy, it was determined to stop coverage on gas dock, the only dock in GYC insured for replacement value. Still covered under liability.
The lift was insured for 25k. Insurance company said they would not pay this amount to replace it.
Insurance Savings $1500.00
Dock rentals: Board decided that if an owner wants to rent an extra slip from another owner for Jet skis this is OK as long as they don’t exceed the dock’s deeded measurements. Renters cannot rent slips for their jet skis.
Svend suggests GYC go over our rental policies to make sure owners are following the rules to make sure renters have insurance per our by-laws.
Tim mentioned that there seems to be a lot more boat trailers and we need to keep a better handle on whose trailer is whose, so we are not allowing the public to park trailers in our lot.
